FRUSTRATION 1 (2016)

FRUSTRATION 1 is an art film that inhabits the intimate terrain of my internal and external struggles, finding beauty in the daily frictions of searching for identity, intimacy, and belonging. Through conversations in Haitian Kreyòl with two important women in my life, I move through my fears and questions, surrounded by objects drawn from religion and tradition, both real and imagined, fiction and nonfiction. Each becomes a portal for memory, myth, and the layered nature of Haitian identity.
